Activists of Dogra Front on January 20 staged protest against the web series 'Tandav' in Jammu and Kashmir's Dogra. 'Tandav', an Amazon Prime Video-based series addressed the backlash against its content that has hurt religious sentiments of many viewers. Muslim people also showed their anguish against the web series by showing placards. The protestors alleged that the creators of the web series have tried to disrupt the communal harmony in the country. Earlier in the day, Maharashtra Government has received a complaint regarding 'Tandav' and will be taking appropriate action against the web series. Earlier on Monday, the cast and crew of the Saif Ali Khan starrer political-drama had extended their apologies to the viewers for "unintentionally" hurting their sentiments. An FIR was also registered at Lucknow's Hazratganj Kotwali against Amazon Prime's India and team of 'tandav' for allegedly hurting religious sentiments on Monday.
Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has reconstructed Bailey bridge at Kela Morh in Ramban on Jammu-Srinagar highway in record 60 hours. One of the passways of the bridge was damaged due to landslide which led to the closing of the national highway for more than a week. A trial run was carried out successfully on January 16 and traffic will be able to run on it by evening, according to BRO. Brigadier IK Jaggi, Chief Engineer of BRO, said, "By evening, traffic will resume on it".

Civil defence experts trained volunteers and locals on how to handle emergency situations such as fires, earthquakes, and snow avalanches at a training programme in the Kashmir valley. The training programme was organised for the volunteers of different government and non-governmental organisations at Bilaliya Educational Institute, Nawab Bagh, and Baghwanpora-Lal Bazar Srinagar. It was organised by the Kashmir Welfare Trust and Nigeen Tourist Traders Association in collaboration with the Civil Defence, Srinagar and J and K State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC). "The government has a lot of rescue forces, but they cannot reach every place. It is important to prepare the community for such adverse situations. We have trained the volunteers in Nigeen about search operations, first aid, and fire fighting," said Aamir Ali, Deputy Chief Warden Civil Defence Srinagar. The aim of the five days programme was to train people on how to handle the emergency cases such as fires, earthquakes, and especially snow avalanches which have become common in the upper reaches of Kashmir Valley.
