50k evacuated from Kullu as weather clears in Himachal Pradesh; toll 27

The overall death count from this monsoon's relentless rain, landslides and flash floods in Himachal Pradesh rose to 27 on Wednesday. Around 50,000 people stranded in Kullu district, including around 3,000 in the Kasol area, have been evacuated safely, said chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
