Chennai-based publisher held for remarks against CJI on Manipur

The Perambalur police on Saturday arrested Badri Seshadri of Chennai, a publisher and right wing political commentator, on charges of making distasteful remarks against the Chief Justice of India over violence in Manipur in an interview to a YouTube channel on July 22. He was produced before the Kunnam judicial magistrate court and remanded in judicial custody till August 11. Badri Seshadri has now been lodged at the Central Prison in Trichy.
