Farmers halt onion auction at 15 mandis in Nashik

Farmers halted onion auctions at the 15 agriculture produce market committees (APMCs) in Nashik just an hour after trade started at 9am on Thursday following a drop in wholesale prices. Though the auctions resumed after 3pm, only a few farmers were left to take part in them. Most had left after the morning session assuming that no further trade would take place.
