Lack of distress-sharing formula hurting Karnataka, say experts

Pointing out that Karnataka is at a disadvantage due to absence of a distress formula for sharing Cauvery water during rain-deficit years, many experts said the stakeholders must appeal to the Supreme Court in this regard at the earliest. According to them, this is the main reason for the 125-year-old imbroglio between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
