Hijack hoax: Drama at Hyderabad airport after mail warns of 'ISI plot'

IndiaTimes Monday, 9 October 2023
An anonymous email warning of a plan to hijack a flight to Dubai led to a high alert at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. The email claimed that an Indian informant of Pakistan's spy agency ISI was involved in the plot. The flight was eventually cancelled and passengers were screened for suspects. Three passengers and a woman were detained for questioning, but the email was later confirmed to be a hoax. Police are now investigating the sender of the email.
