The Allahabad High Court has raised concerns about the misuse of the Pocso Act, stating that it was not intended to criminalize consensual relationships between adolescents. The court emphasized that the Act has become a tool of exploitation and that bail decisions should take into account consensual relationships stemming from love. The court granted bail to Mrigraj Gautam, who was charged under various sections of the IPC and Pocso Act for allegedly enticing a 15-year-old girl.
