Inclusion of millets in diet for first 1000 days of birth

Experts at the International Convention on Millets in Bhubaneswar have suggested that millets should be included in a baby's diet for the first 1000 days of their life. The convention discussed a 10-year policy roadmap for promoting millets in India, and experts stressed the need for increased cultivation area, incentives for farmers, and the inclusion of millets in the public distribution system. They also called for research on agriculture and the promotion of nutrition-rich and organic millets.
