Gujarat: Man steals identity, dupes builder of Rs 10 crore in land deal

A builder in Ahmedabad was allegedly cheated out of Rs 9.77 crore in a fraudulent land deal. The builder paid the money to a person who claimed to be the main landowner, but it turned out to be a case of stolen identity. The real landowner had been confined by the fraudsters. The police have registered a complaint and are investigating the case.
