Chhattisgarh Police to probe Jheeram Valley Maoist attack conspiracy as SC dismisses NIA appeal

The Chhattisgarh Police will now investigate the conspiracy angle and other related issues of the Jheeram Valley Maoist attack in tribal Bastar district that eliminated state’s frontline Congress leaders in May 2013 after the Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed an appeal filed by the National Investigating Agency (NIA) challenging registration of an FIR by the state police.
