A 37-year-old woman from Andhra Pradesh is accused of attempting to cheat a 5-star hotel in Aerocity, Delhi, by not paying a bill amounting to Rs 5.8 lakh after staying for over two weeks. The guest claimed to have made payment through a bank's UPI application, but the hotel's reconciliation revealed no funds were received. When asked to show her bank account statement, the woman allegedly refused and attempted to flee, prompting hotel staff to intervene. The police were called, and the woman was taken in for questioning. She later stated that she paid with a virtual credit card, and further investigation involves contacting the bank and visiting her residence. The woman has been bound by the police, requiring her to inform them if she plans to leave the city.
