Dacoity of about Rs 12.75 lakh cash, jewellery in Jagadhri, residents made hostage

The police have registered a case of dacoity after six men robbed a family of about Rs 12.75 lakh worth jewellery and cash, on knife point in Jagadhri city of Yamunanagar district. On the complaint of Fajrul Haq of Green Vihar Colony in Jagadhri city, the police have registered a case against six unknown persons under Section 395 (dacoity) and 397 (robbery or dacoity, with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Jagadhri City police station on Wednesday.
