Gun fails to fire, elephant kills forest guard during census

During a tiger-herbivore census in North Bengal's Buxa Tiger Reserve, a forest guard named Ali Miyan was trampled to death by an elephant in the Pukhri area of Jayanti range due to his gun failure. The incident caused discontent among the villagers and resulted in a mob attack.
