BRS, Congress most corrupt, says Rajnath Singh in Telangana

IndiaTimes Friday, 19 April 2024
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh announced on Friday that Telangana had made a firm decision to resist attempts by the ruling Congress and its rival BRS to suppress the "pro-Modi" sentiment. "It (efforts to foil Modi wave) won't work as people have already picked who to vote for," he said, calling both rivals "most corrupt parties that engage in appeasement politics".

On Wednesday, the Election Commission took action against former Telangana CM and BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao, barring him from campaigning for 48 hours, effective from 8 pm today. This decision was made due to "derogatory and objectionable statements" made by Rao against the Congress party. The EC's action followed a complaint filed by Congress leader G Niranjan, prompting the commission to issue a notice to K Chandrashekar Rao. The EC noted that Rao had previously received several advisories and instructions regarding his speeches. #LSPolls2024 #TelanganaElections #KCR #CampaignBan #Elections2024 #KChandrashekarRao #ElectionBan #PoliticalNews #TelanganaCM #CampaignRestriction #PoliticalBan #ECAction #CampaigningBarred #ElectoralViolation #PoliticalSanction ~HT.178~PR.152~ED.194~GR.124~
