Veg Gulati restaurant fire: How residents of NDMC quarters escaped death

An electrical short circuit fire at Veg Gulati on Pandara Road led to a rapid evacuation of adjacent NDMC quarters. In an hour, fire services contained the flames, which caused nearby damage but no casualties. Residents, some trapped, escaped. Other restaurants like Have More faced minor exterior damage and plan to reopen. Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was a notable patron.
