Espionage case: Gujarat HC denies bail to Pakistani refugee

The Gujarat High Court denied bail to Labhshankar Maheshwari, a former Pakistani citizen turned Indian, implicated in espionage for allegedly assisting Pakistani agencies in monitoring Indian defense personnel. Arrested by the Gujarat ATS, Maheshwari is accused of sending tracking malware on WhatsApp. The state opposed bail citing the seriousness of the charges.
