Why Delhi govt is crushing e-rickshaws using excavators

The Delhi government has initiated the dismantling of illegal e-rickshaws using excavators to manage the traffic congestion. So far, 566 e-rickshaws have been dismantled. The transport department plans to scrap impounded and unregistered e-rickshaws within a week if owners do not apply for registration, aiming to improve road safety and reduce traffic jams.
