Telangana rain: 50k trees in Eturnagaram fall in linear pattern to rare weather phenomenon

Unprecedented rains and flooding have led to the fall of around 50,000 trees in Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary, spread over 200 hectares. Occurring between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Aug 31, the linear fall pattern points to a rare weather phenomenon. Forest officials suspect high-speed winds and will consult meteorological and remote sensing experts.
