3 attempts to derail trains in past one week, says Railways

A train collision with a cooking cylinder in Kanpur was narrowly avoided, indicating criminal intent. Since June last year, there have been 17 similar incidents, prompting increased vigilance on sensitive tracks to prevent mishaps.

The company, responsible for the underground section of the Kanpur Metro, delayed payments for nearly ten months—then vanished.
