Bombay HC suspends life sentence, grants bail to man convicted for killing ailing mother

The Bombay High Court has suspended Santosh Surve's life sentence and granted him bail after being convicted for his mother's death in 2016. His appeal is unlikely to be heard soon. Surve was released on a Rs 25,000 bond and must report to the trial court every six months until the appeal is resolved.
