640 lives lost this monsoon in Madhya Pradesh, state braces for more casualties

Madhya Pradesh has seen a challenging monsoon season with a 15% rain surplus, resulting in at least 640 deaths from rain-related incidents. Lightning strikes have also caused around 380 fatalities this year. Rescue operations by SDERF and NDRF are ongoing as the state anticipates more heavy rainfall.
