ASI to Delhi HC: Cost of ‘protected’ Jama Masjid to be substantial

The ASI has hesitated to declare Jama Masjid a 'protected monument' due to the impact of regulations on development within a 300-metre zone. Delhi High Court observed this hesitation and noted that while the mosque's revenue should not go to private individuals, measures should be taken to protect its heritage.
