After TOI report, Centre orders probe into differential pricing by ride-hailing apps

Union consumer affairs minister Pralhad Joshi has ordered a detailed investigation by the Central Consumer Protection Authority into the disparity in cab fares on Android and IOS devices reported by TOI. The inquiry will also extend to other sectors such as food delivery apps and online ticket booking platforms.
