Amit Shah's strategy for zero infiltration and terrorism elimination in Jammu and Kashmir
Wednesday, 5 February 2025 Home Minister Amit Shah has instructed security forces to adopt a ruthless approach towards achieving zero infiltration and eradicating terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Chairing a high-level meeting, he emphasized tackling narcotics funding terror activities and taking prompt action. The directive follows recent terrorist attacks and reinforces the government's zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
Chhattisgarh Naxal Encounter: In a major anti-Naxal operation, security forces in Chhattisgarh's Bastar division neutralized 22 Maoists in two separate encounters. The first gunfight took place in the dense forests along the Bijapur-Dantewada border, where 18 Maoists were killed. Another encounter in Kanker district led to the elimination of four more insurgents. A District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawan was injured in the operation. Weapons and explosives were recovered from the sites. Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the success, reaffirming the government's commitment to a ‘Naxal-Mukt Bharat’ (Naxal-free India).
