Watch: Kerala man falls into 40ft well, wife jumps in to save him

A 56-year-old woman, PK Padmam, heroically saved her unconscious husband, Ramesan Nair EK, from drowning after he fell into a 40ft deep well while harvesting pepper in Piravom. She climbed down using a plastic rope, sustained injuries, and managed to keep his head above the water until the fire brigade arrived and rescued them.
