A groom's drunken misconduct at his wedding in Budaun led to its abrupt cancellation. He arrived intoxicated and touched the bride inappropriately during the varmala ceremony, causing the bride to call off the marriage. Despite efforts from the groom's family to proceed, the wedding was eventually formally cancelled.
