Security forces deployed after violence in West Bengal's Birbhum; internet services suspended

Internet and voice-over-Internet telephony services have been suspended in five Gram Panchayat regions near Sainthia town, Birbhum district, West Bengal, from March 14 to March 17. This decision aims to curb rumour-mongering and illegal activities, amid recent stone-pelting incidents. Voice calls and SMS remain unaffected, ensuring ongoing communication through traditional means.
