Thane woman loses Rs 15 lakh in work-from-home scam; police launch probe

A 37-year-old woman from Thane was allegedly scammed out of Rs 15.14 lakh in a fraudulent work-from-home scheme. The accused lured her with promises of high earnings, assigned online tasks via Telegram, and took money over multiple transactions. Police have registered a case and are probing similar frauds.
