'He lives in his own world': Delhi HC pulls up Ramdev over 'Sharbat jihad' row

IndiaTimes Thursday, 1 May 2025
The Delhi High Court has found Yoga guru Ramdev in prima facie contempt for violating a previous order regarding his "sharbat jihad" remarks against Hamdard's Rooh Afza. Justice Amit Bansal noted that Ramdev published a video with objectionable content despite the court's directive prohibiting such statements. The court expressed strong disapproval of Ramdev's remarks, deeming them "indefensible.""He (Ramdev) is not in control of anyone. He lives in his own world," the judge remarked.
