In a dramatic escalation of the conflict, Russian air defenses claim to have repelled one of the largest Ukrainian aerial assaults to date, intercepting 170 drones and 11 missiles—eight of them U.S.-supplied Storm Shadows—across multiple regions. Crimea bore the brunt of the attack, with 96 UAVs downed, prompting a four-hour shutdown of the strategic Crimean Bridge. Russia’s Ministry of Defense also reported the destruction of 14 unmanned Ukrainian naval vessels in the Black Sea.
