Man clicks on advertisement, cons wipe out Rs 22 lakh from bank account in Noida

In Noida, a retired government official was swindled out of ₹22 lakh in a cyber scam after clicking on a social media ad. Posing as bank employees, fraudsters obtained OTPs, accessing his accounts and transferring funds. The victim alleges the bank failed to follow protocols regarding fixed deposit withdrawals and beneficiary additions, enabling the large-scale theft.
