Khan is appealing his conviction and five-year jail sentence, while the state government challenges the acquittal of co-accused film stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, Tabu, and local resident Dushyant Singh, who were all implicated in the 1998 hunting incident.
