'Great son of India': PM Modi, Congress leaders pay tribute to former PM Rajiv Gandhi on 34th death anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 34th death anniversary. Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, also offered homage at Veer Bhoomi. Rajiv Gandhi, who served as Prime Minister from 1984 to 1989, was assassinated in 1991. He was the country's youngest Prime Minister, assuming office at the age of 40.
