Nearly 100 families, mostly landless farmers and migrant workers from Bihar and Eastern UP, have lost their homes. Around 500 acres of vegetable crops and papaya orchards have been completely destroyed by the rising floodwaters. Fodder for livestock has also been washed away. While the Delhi government has provided relief through food, water tankers, and mobile toilets, the victims are demanding proper compensation for their massive losses.
