Liquor fuelled fire at judge's house that burnt cash: Report

A high-level judicial panel's inquiry revealed a fire at Justice Yashwant Varma's residence on March 14 uncovered burnt, unexplained cash. Firefighters reported the blaze intensified due to alcohol from a liquor cabinet near the storeroom, where currency notes were visible amidst the debris. Justice Varma was away, and the room had to be forcibly opened, according to the report.
