Patient numbers up 1,300% in 5 yrs at Hyderabad drug treatment clinic

Hyderabad's drug treatment clinic witnessed a staggering 1300% surge in patient footfall over five years, reaching 9,832 cases by January 2025, the highest spike in India. Primarily treating alcohol, adulterated toddy, and cannabis addictions, the Institute of Mental Health clinic now sees about 30 patients daily.
