California firefighters use Artificial Intelligence to battle wildfires

A new monitoring system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to scan for wildfire danger in California has proven to be effective in preventing disasters. The AI system, known as ALERTCalifornia, uses algorithms to analyze live feeds from cameras placed in fire-prone areas. When the system detects smoke, it alerts human operators who can verify the threat and take action.
