US President Joe Biden sets up federal office to curb gun violence
Saturday, 23 September 2023 President Joe Biden on Friday announced a new office dedicated to gun violence prevention, his latest effort to combat a growing national crisis through executive action instead of the more sweeping reforms that would require congressional approval.
Vice President Kamala Harris will lead a new federal office of gun violence prevention. President Biden is set to announce the office to address gun safety issues, with Stefanie Feldman as its director.
