Chinese consulate attacker in US was armed with knife, crossbow

A man armed with a knife and crossbow drove his car into the Chinese consulate in San Francisco before being shot and killed by police. The incident was captured on police bodycam footage, which shows the assailant slashing at an officer with a knife before being shot. The man, identified as 31-year-old Zhanyuan Yang, was taken to the hospital where he later died. The motive for the attack is still under investigation. The United States has condemned the violence and promised to cooperate with China. Violence against diplomatic missions is rare in the US.
