Israel to reassess diplomatic relations with Turkey, says Foreign Minister Cohen

IndiaTimes Saturday, 28 October 2023
Israel's Foreign Minister, Eli Cohen, has ordered the return of diplomatic representatives from Turkey to reassess the country's relations with Turkey. This decision comes after Turkish leaders condemned Israel's military campaign against Hamas. Israeli ambassadors stationed in Turkey have been instructed to return to Israel. Turkey's President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, referred to Hamas as 'mujahideen' defending their lands and cancelled his visit to Israel. Turkey's Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, accused Israel of committing "a crime against humanity" in its war in Gaza.
