Bodies of Lebanese shepherds shot at by Israeli forces found-report
Thursday, 2 November 2023 Two Lebanese shepherds were found dead near the border after being shot by Israeli forces. The Israeli army is looking into the report. The shepherds were tending to their flock near the Wazzani river. The incident occurred amid ongoing exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah along the border. UNIFIL, the UN peacekeeping force, had been asked to assist in evacuating two injured individuals in the same area. The search for the injured was postponed until the next morning due to darkness and land mines.
