Spanish conservative politician shot in face in Madrid. Gunman escaped on a motorbike, reports

Spanish right-wing politician Alejandro Vidal-Quadras has been shot in the face on a street in Madrid. The 78-year-old, a former member of Spain's conservative Popular Party and a founder of the far-right Vox party, was conscious when taken to the hospital. Police are investigating the shooting, and no arrests have been made. Vox President Santiago Abascal stated that Vidal-Quadras' life is not in immediate danger.
