After visiting Israel and Ramallah, the ICC prosecutor says he will intensify investigations

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, announced that the ICC will intensify investigations into possible crimes committed by Hamas and Israeli forces. The ICC has been looking into crimes in the Palestinian territories since 2021, but has not yet filed any charges. Khan witnessed "scenes of calculated cruelty" during his visit to locations of the October 7 attacks by Hamas. He called for the release of hostages taken by Hamas and criticized attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians.
