Hamas turns Gaza streets into deadly maze for Israeli troops

IndiaTimes Saturday, 16 December 2023
The Israeli army's death toll in Gaza during the current ground offensive is almost double that of the 2014 operation. This reflects the extent to which the Israeli army has pushed into the enclave and Hamas' effective use of guerrilla tactics and an expanded arsenal. Hamas has utilized its vast tunnel network, knowledge of the terrain, and a stockpile of weapons, including drones rigged with grenades and anti-tank weapons with powerful twin charges. The Israeli army has yet to find a solution for the tunnels, which have significantly expanded in past decade.
