Japan to craft 2040 strategy of decarbonization and industrial policy
Monday, 13 May 2024 () The Japanese government has decided to build up a strategy by the end of March 2024 for decarbonization and Industrial policy targeting 2040. The 2040 strategy is expected to refine last year's plan and provide more predictability of long-term investments while enhancing the competitiveness of domestic companies and fostering economic growth, Yojiro Hatakeyama, Director General of the Industrial Science, technology, and Environment Policy Bureau at the industry ministry. told reporters.
