A 73-year-old Seattle woman was scammed out of $20,000 by someone impersonating MSNBC anchor Ari Melber on Facebook. The scammer feigned a relationship, solicited money for a fictitious sick dog, and even sent an engagement ring. The victim's daughter intervened during her mother's trip to meet the scammer, preventing a potential hostage situation.
