Michigan trio arrested after starving animals, dead puppy found in 'deplorable' home with 9-year-old boy

Michigan officers arrested three people after discovering a 9-year-old boy living in dire conditions with mistreated animals, including a dead puppy in a pizza box. AT&T workers had reported $30,000 worth of stolen cables. Kelly Walker, Charles Ashbaker, and Douglas Nelson face charges related to child abuse, animal cruelty, theft, and more. The boy is now under child protective services, and surviving dogs have been rescued.
