US airstrikes in Somalia kill several Islamic State members

The US Africa Command carried out an airstrike in Puntland, Somalia, targeting IS-Somalia positions and killing several operatives. Coordinated with the Somali government, the strike occurred southeast of Bosasso port city. This attack is part of an ongoing counter-terrorism operation, with previous strikes eliminating key IS figures. No civilians were reported harmed.
