Democrat congressman Greg Casar introduces bill to ban AI-driven price; seeks Republican support
Wednesday, 23 July 2025 US Congressman Greg Casar has introduced the Stop AI Price Gouging and Wage Fixing Act of 2025, aiming to curb AI-driven price discrimination. The bill targets companies exploiting personal data to charge varying prices, a practice the FTC has also flagged. It further seeks to prevent AI from determining wages based on personal finances.
