Russia has firmly denied allegations of jamming GPS signals on European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s flight to Bulgaria. The incident occurred just days after von der Leyen called Putin a “predator,” sparking suspicions of deliberate interference. Her plane suffered a GPS blackout near Plovdiv Airport, forcing pilots to land using paper maps. Bulgarian authorities linked the case to rising GPS jamming across Europe, widely blamed on Russia. The scare adds new strain as von der Leyen pushes for a stronger European army to counter Moscow.
